A FEW MORE PREPARDNESS HIGHLIGHTS



Sorry I'm having a few technical difficutlies with my computer.....here is another YUMMY recipe from the Prepardness Enrichment and a few pictures of the sisters making their adorable clip boards!!


MAPLE BARS
2 C. scalded milk
2TBS yeast
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. oil
2 Eggs, slightly beaten
about 7 cups of flour - enough to make a medium stiff dough

Cool milk to lukewarm, Add salt, sugar, and oil. Dissolve yeast
in 1/4 c warm water, with about 1 TBS sugar sprinkled into
it (let soften until bubbly) Add eggs and yeast to milk mixture - stir well
Gradually add flour until desired texture of dough is reached.
Let rise, knead down. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick and cut into bars.
Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Let raise 20 minutes.
Bake at 400 for 8-9 minutes or lightly brown
Cool - Frost and Enjoy!!

MAPLE FROSTING
3 C powdered sugar
1/3 c margarine or butter softened
2-4 tsp maple flavoring (flavor to your taste)
1 tsp vanilla
2-3 TBS milk
Mix together until smooth - Spread on bars - ENJOY!!
